Freebies & Resources

Ephemoire recommends a number of helpful resources to help you work smarter, not harder!

Designers are always on the lookout for tips and resources to help them to work smarter, and not harder. We thought it might be helpful to our customers to list a few of our favorites for you here, along with a few freebies for your PERSONAL USE.

This section will be updated periodically, with new items added.

Be sure and join us on FACEBOOK, where I share a new freebie EVERY FRIDAY!

Color Schemer - This is one I've used for MANY years, and it gets better all the time! Color Schemer Studio identifies color harmonies for the web (RGB) or print (CMYK), create palettes from photos, search over a million existing color schemes, mix colors, create gradient blends, and much more. They offer a free version, but you'll likely want to upgrade.

Richard Waller's Tabula Colourum - This historic chart is one of my favorites - and worth framing if you are a design geek! From Richard Waller, "A Catalogue of Simple and Mixt Colours with a Specimen of Each Colour Prefixt Its Properties," in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London, vol. 6 for the years 1686 and 1687.

Color Sphere - Philipp Otto Runge’s Color Sphere (Die Farbenkugel). The top two images show the surface of the sphere, while the bottom two show horizontal and vertical cross sections. This is another one worth enlarging a bit and framing.

Vintage Wine & Spirits Labels Collage Sheet - This collection of vintage wine and spirits labels can be used in so many ways! Print them out onto shrink plastic and create wine charms, use them for invitations, magnets, or place cards at your next fancy get-together. Again, this is a PERSONAL USE ONLY item.
