When I think of simple elegance, the image of Audrey Hepburn often springs to mind. The little black dress, a simple strand of pearls, the perfect shade of lipstick.

She was always impeccable.

As I began writing this post, I immediately remembered one of my favorite quotes that I tease my husband with - "...sometimes, it is better to ask for forgiveness than permission."

My husband, not unlike Santa, does not share this sentiment. So, what's a girl to do?
